Supersize Your Windows Clipboard

ClipX is a Windows clipboard manager: a tiny program that runs in the background, capturing and managing your clipboard entries, allowing you to keep 25 of them active at all times.

The problem with the standard Windows clipboard is that each time you copy a word or phrase to the clipboard, the previous entry is erased and only the new one is available for copying. This restriction can be quite inconvenient if you do a lot of copying and pasting.

Suppose you have paragraph 1 and paragraph 12 that you wrote in document 1 and which you now want to insert in documents 2-10. Using the single entry Windows clipboard, you have to open all of the documents and copy the first paragraph into each document, then go back and copy paragraph 12 into all the documents.

This can be quite tedious, and if the phone rings or you have some other interruption and lose your place, things can get quite confusing. ClipX solves this problem by remembering the most recent 25 items you have copied and giving you access to them. There are also several plugins available that allow you to make some entries permanent and to save image entries in PNG or JPEG formats.

This program is available as donationware. That means you can try it for free and if you find it useful, the author encourages you to send a donation.
