About Sheryl

I’m on a mission to help freelancers, consultants, and independent contractors learn how to start successful online businesses in addition to toiling as “worker bees” to serve their customers.

It’s rarely what you’re expecting when you start out on your own. It sure wasn’t when I opened my first company!

I’ve been involved in the business world ever since I got my MBA from the University of Chicago. I worked several years on the audit staff of a large public accounting firm and was originally licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.

Several years later, I started my solo practice in Indianapolis. While I was there, I helped develop the tax curriculum for the Business Ownership Initiative of Indiana and its Central Indiana Women’s Business Center, where I taught workshops and classes about taxes, record keeping, and business startup.

Over the following decades, I changed directions several times to match my family & personal needs and some difficult economic conditions. I embraced the rapidly changing world of technology and was totally thrilled to transition to providing all my services remotely.

That’s the kind of freedom I can help you create in your life!

I recently closed my private practice in North Carolina and my status is CPA-retired.
