Maybe you’re luckier than I am and your phone is on the list. <\/p>\n

You still need an Intuit Merchant Account. I’m going to apply for one just to see what happens. If I’m approved, I figure I can test the service with a friend’s phone or see about the Bluetooth reader.<\/p>\n

Oh yeah, the fine print also said it would take up to four weeks to get the free card reader<\/strong>, so don’t plan to use this solution any time soon.<\/p>\n

The application is available online (it says it takes about 10 minutes) or you can apply by phone.<\/p>\n

It took me 12 minutes to fill out the app, but I was taking notes for this blog post as I went along. Three minutes later I had reviewed the info I typed in and submitted it. They said I’d receive a reply within 2 business days.<\/p>\n

Good news—I noticed that the merchant account had no setup fee, no monthly minimum, no statement fee, no contract, and no cancellation fee<\/strong>. Good deal.<\/p>\n

I got an email 5 hours later saying I was approved.<\/p>\n
