I’m a Teacher, Too!

As a CPA who’s been in private practice for over 30 years, I’ve explained lots of things to my clients…from bookkeeping, to taxes, to QuickBooks, to business startup. I’ve led live in-the-classroom style workshops for the Business Ownership Initiative of Indiana for several years.

But it wasn’t until fairly recently that I started to think of myself as a teacher. And it wasn’t until I became a charter member of Teaching Sells (in October 2007) that I began to see the many interesting possibilities that gave me to grow my business.

So why am I telling you this now? Is it because Teaching Sells is getting ready to accept new students and I’ll make a nice commission if you click on my affiliate link and decide to join their program?

Nope.  I’m telling you this so that you’ll go get the fantastic free information that Briank Clark and his partners are dishing up and I’m hoping this will open your mind to a new business you can start or a new direction you can take with your existing business.

The Teaching Sells program probably won’t appeal to many of you because of the price, the timing, or the commitment required to do the work.  But you don’t have to produce a multimedia interactive learning environment to take advantage of the philosophy and wisdom that Brian, Tony, and Sonia freely share.

I’ve been soaking up their collective knowledge and participating in their membership forums for almost two years (can you picture a very risk averse, budget conscious, slow learner?) and proudly admit to being a life member.

The lessons I’ve studied and the personal contacts that I’ve made are about to result in the first of a series of exciting new products and services that have been a world of fun developing.  More about that in a future blog post.

Now go get the freebies.  You’ll be glad you did.
