My wish for today is that small business owners would realize that there’s more to “doing your taxes” than merely putting numbers on forms. Unless your return is exceedingly simple, using consumer-oriented tax prep software probably isn’t going to give you the best results.
I strongly suggest that you find a professional preparer who understands the concepts behind the numbers. While you’re at it, look for someone who’s able to help you with tax planning in addition to tax preparation. You’ll be glad you did.
